Petworks Pet Resort - On CBC's Living Halifax

Resort

For parents wishing to drop their canine 'best friend' off in the morning and pick them up in the evening, we provide fully supervised daycare for a day of fun, socialization and exercise.   We also provide overnight boarding for your canine and feline 'best friends' 365 days a year.

Puppy Socialization and Level I, II Obedience classes are scheduled in the evenings with experienced obedience instructor, Rob VanTassel from VanTassel Canine Services.

We take our responsibility for the care and security of your 'best friend' seriously. Our Pet Attendants are certified in St. John's Ambulance Pet First Aid and our facility is equipped with a sprinkler system, third-party alarm system and security camera surveillance.

Daycare

Fully supervised daycare services for dogs provide a controlled environment for physical activity, mental stimulation and socialization for your often-homebound 'best friend' while you are away during the day. Petworks' quality daycare facility attends to your best friend's basic needs and whims with a themed décor, swimming pool, authentic fire hydrant, colorful playground with rubber mats, and a variety of play toys.

Dogs of all sizes and personalities play in our large play area with a runout to a secure outside area for bathroom breaks. Our guests are supervised by our Pet Attendants and play together in small manageable groups. Come visit us any weekday for a fun time in our daycare.

Our daycare operates Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm. Puppy classes begin at 6pm so we appreciate that you pick up your pet on time.

Daycare is getting very busy so we recommend you make a reservation and take advantage of our frequent player program.

Also keep in mind that all our guests are required to have parasite control and up-to-date vaccinations including bordetella vaccine within the last six months.

Dog Boarding

Petworks' canine boarding facility offers large, comfortable, climate-controlled surroundings for up to 40 guests in a supervised environment.

If you need an overnight home-away-from-home, we have roomy well lit runs. Some can be converted to king size if you want to stay with a friend or sibling or just need a lot of room. If your parents choose, you may get to play in the daycare or go for off-property walks. Make sure you book a reservation as we book up quickly.

Also keep in mind that all our guests are required to have parasite control and up-to-date vaccinations including bordetella vaccine within the last six months. Make sure you don't get caught short at the last minute. Play safe. See your veterinarian before you come for a visit.

Cat Boarding

For up to 27 feline guests, Petworks offers tiered condos in a feline-exclusive, climate-controlled suite. The environment provides abundant natural lighting and viewing windows to create a stimulating atmosphere for your best friend, whether for a day, a week or a month!
