For many people, their pets are like their children, and people always take hundreds of photographs of their kids. Well finally pet owners have a place to have their "kids'" photos taken professionally.

For almost five years now, Wyse Photography has been up and running, and is in the Petworks building. With a customized studio for pets, you can come in and have your photo taken with your best friend.

Unlike other portrait studios where you may be charged an initial fee to have your photos taken, Wyse Photography charges no sitting fees. "We understand that pets can be nervous, so if we can't get a photo you absolutely love, you don't have to pay a cent."

Using high-end digital photography equipment, our photographers will take many photos on various different backgrounds. You will get to see the results on a computer immediately following the shoot, which takes about an hour in total. All packages can be customized to your individual needs, and start at only $16.99.

People can be in the photo with their pets, or just have the pets alone. There is no additional charge for multiple people or animals, although there's no guarantee of getting more than one pet in the photo. They are up for all types of challenging pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets and more, you name it and they'll give it a shot. The studio is a closed room and pets are free to sniff around and get comfortable before any photos are taken.

Most people are hesitant to give it a try because they think their pet won't sit and stay. There are many tricks of the trade, according to Wyse, but the main one, he says, is patience. "Basically the key is in taking our time. We work with the owners and make the pets comfortable before we take any photos. We don't expect them to sit and stay."
